It is the most effective way to make rapid progress: you live with your teacher who will give you private language lessons and correct you at all times spent with them. It completely immerses you in the language you are learning as you put into practice what you have learnt during your lessons through social interactions and meal time with your host.

The Home Tuition Programme includes:
10h* private language lessons per week
Accommodation in your teacher’s home
Meals and social interaction with your host

*10 hours tuition is available when combined with activities, cultural visits or sports & leisure options. It cannot be booked on its own.

Choose the number of language lessons you require and personalise your programme according to your needs, interests and preferences with a multitude of options and specialisations to choose from. Some things cannot be learnt by studying in the traditional way, fluency is achieved through living the language, using the target language constantly and in your everyday life. Culture, entertainment, leisure and current events are embedded in people's language and these are as much part of the language learning process as the lessons.

- ACTIVITIES
Apply what you have learnt during your lessons, practice your language skills through varied activities such as cooking, mini-golf, shopping, bowling, cinema, board games, sightseeing, etc….with your host. The nature of the activity depends on your interests, as well as the area the hosting family is located in.
All costs are included: transport, entrance fees and activity expenses (where applicable) for the student and the accompanying person.

- CULTURAL VISITS
Visit places of interest and/or museums with your host who becomes your own private guide. Understanding the culture of your target language improves your experience and facilitates the learning process, it also enables you to practice your language skills in a different environment. Cultural visits may vary depending on family location and availability. Other visits can be arranged on request.
All costs are included: transport and entrance fees (if applicable) for the student and the accompanying person

- SPORTS
Enjoy 3 sport sessions weekly (unless specified otherwise) transport and equipment rental (where applicable). Sessions are usually individual but sometimes take place with a group depending on the time of year and location. They are usually held with a professional instructor but can sometimes take place with a family member.
All costs are included: the sport sessions, accompanied transport and rental of equipment (where applicable)

- LEISURE
Discover the uniqueness of your destination with an accompanied excursion to an exceptional site, visit a famous theme park, experience a local tradition. Sessions take place with your teacher, an adult member of the family or in some cases a professional instructor.
All costs are included: the leisure session, entrance fees for you and the accompanying person (if applicable) and supervised trips

PERSONALISE YOUR PROGRAMME WITH OTHER OPTIONS (supplements apply):

- BUSINESS, PROFESSIONAL & SPECIALISED
Designed to make rapid progress in the language you are studying and concentrating on the skills you need for your work. Improve your confidence and use of vocabulary through live practice for business meetings, negotiations, presentations and general communication with clients. Learn the skills and techniques for phoning, writing reports, e-mails or letters, through role playing. Improve your social skills when meeting and entertaining clients, travelling on business or attending conferences.
Purely for business or with professional vocabulary for medicine, tourism, real estate, marketing, law, human resources, media, aviation, military, engineering, banking, accountancy, computing, architecture…

- EXAM PREPARATION
Your teacher will design a course to prepare you for an exam (Cambridge EFL, TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, DELF, DELE, Baccalaureat, Abitur, Matura and other exams on request...). They will help you familiarise yourself with the test content, level and format, work on the different types of questions you may be asked, review and improve your replies, go over your weaknesses, give you past exam papers to help you practise.
This option prepares you for your exam by giving you the skills and techniques you need to pass your exam with success.

- ACADEMIC PREPARATION
Our academic language option for international and EU students helps you prepare for boarding school (GCSE, A Level, IB), foundation courses or university. It enables you to develop and practise the language skills needed to communicate with teachers and students, read academic texts, write summaries, reports, essays and give presentations.You can also extend your vocabulary for your specialised subject (maths, science, economics, business, literature....) on request.

- ACADEMIC HOLIDAY
You can also choose to stay with a host during your school or university holiday, this is the ideal solution when you are unable to go back to your country and you are looking for a warm family environment to make you feel at home during your time off. It is also the opportunity to improve your language skills while having a good time. For minors the hosts will supervise any homework given and liaise with the school and the parents for any matters that need attending to.

- PRIVATE BATHROOM
You share bathroom facilities with your host and their family unless you take the private bathroom option which gives you the use of your own exclusive bathroom for more privacy

- CLOSER SUPERVISION (-13)
As a young learner they can benefit from a course specially designed for their needs. We offer close supervision in a friendly and caring family home, this option guarantees the presence with an adult member of the family at all times.
This option is available for students under 18 and is compulsory for students aged 12 or under.

- SPECIAL NEEDS & SPECIAL DIETS
We welcome students with special needs and special diets providing we have been notified of these in advance.
A supplement may be charged if special attention and care is required from the hosts.

-SUPERIOR HOMESTAY
This option is for those who require a high standard of living. We have selected our most exclusive families who host for the love of teaching and the pleasure of meeting people from different backgrounds. You will benefit from a superior standard of accommodation and meals as well as a very experienced host and tutor. A private bathroom is automatically included.

- CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR
Experience the traditional festivities and seasonal activities at a special time of year.
A supplement will be charged for courses that include the 24th-25th-26th December and/or the 31st December-1st January.

- ONLINE LESSONS
These take place on zoom and can be added to any programme your home tuition programme.
This option includes a minimum 10 sessions of 45mn, 5 sessions to take place before the stay and 5 sessions to take place after the stay. Get to know your teacher, prepare for your course, revise and finalise everything you have learnt on your return.

- EXTRA NIGHT
One extra night with your host family can be arranged to allow for your flight schedules.
Meals are included no lessons.

- TRANSFERS
Transfers to/from airports, train stations or seaports can be arranged and are usually taken care of by the host family, a private driver, or the Regional Manager. The required transfer location will be mentioned on the family profile. If you do not arrive/depart at the transfer location indicated, charges may be increased.
