Beskrivelse af sprogkursus

The German intensive course A1 helps you acquire German skills for levels A1.1 and A1.2 in a few easy steps. You learn to understand (read and listen to) and to use (speak and write) German at an A1 level. This helps you navigate everyday experiences like living and working in Austria. At the same time, this course develops your A1 values and integration knowledge. You get to know the social rules for living alongside others in Austria. This German course prepares you for the questions in the ÖIF integration exam A1, which you must pass to receive your first residence permit. To put your theoretical knowledge into practice, you regularly participate in exercises in the LcL language lab, where you test out what you’ve learned on our highly modern language machines. Your instructor leads you through each course module with enthusiasm. *Online participation is also possible on request. In the case of online course participation, the phonetics units in the LcL language laboratory are omitted.

Overview of language content in German A1.1 + A1.2

- Elementary language acts, such as greeting someone or shopping

- Elementary grammar and vocabulary, forming sentences with simple conjunctions

- Understanding slow, spoken German, asking and answering questions

- Elementary writing, such as invitations, while using basic grammar

- Values and integration knowledge for Austria at the A1 level

- Includes immersion into phonetics at the LcL language lab

LcL Language Institute ligger i hjertet af Vienna og er en af de mest populære skoler i Østrig. Skolen specialiserer sig i undervisning af Tysk til udenlandske elever som dig. In one of the most beautiful streets of the 7th district in Vienna.

The top renovated rooms of our old Viennese Biedermeier house from 1695 offer a comfortable and modern atmosphere to help you focus on your learning. Our offices contain five classrooms, each about 10 to 25 square meters. Every classroom is furnished with easy-to-move desks and chairs, as well as a cloakroom. On sunny days, our picturesque courtyard is also available for lessons outside. Our language institute is on the ground floor. The building itself is under monument protection, it is one of the oldest houses of Vienna. Right around the corner from the school, you will find numerous cafés, restaurants and bars as well as museums, theaters and cinemas.

Buses: 48A (St Ulrichs Platz or Kellermanngasse) or 13A (Neubaugasse/Westbahnstraße or Burggasse/Neubaugasse)

If you're traveling by car, the Contipark Garage Museumsquartier or the Payuca Garage Kirchberggasse are available for a parking fee.

The stops and parking garages listed above are at most a five-minute walk from our facilities.

"I had a good experience and improved my language skills during my time there."

The location is practical and accessible. The facilities are new and some are still being renovated/improved. Some equipment such as headphones and microphones were not fully set up and were used on the last day of class. The instructor was really good, spoke clearly and explained things well. The setup of the classes was good. Ideally, it would be great to switch up class activities and make them a bit more dynamic so that it’s not as repetitive over time (such as creating dialogues or conversations). The staff is friendly and helpful, and I appreciated that they provided us with water for every class. Overall I had a very good experience. While there are things still being set up or renovated, I think this institute already has great potential for being a good resource for language learning.
